Quilt for Bloggers Quilt Festival

This is the quilt I made for my first baby, Madilyn. The minute I found out she was going to be a girl, I started on this quilt. I loved the idea of a lattice pattern, which I first saw in the book Destiny by G.E. Designs. The pattern for the applique flowers came from the same book, but a different pattern. I worked out the color scheme in EQ6 and used fabrics I had in my stash. It's girly and fun and will probably always be one of my favorites!

Thanks for looking! Enjoy the rest of the festival!

  6. The quilt is beautiful and your baby is adorable.
I couldn't reply to your comment about my quilt because there's a no-reply on it, but the quilt is really easy to put together, no y-seams. It's a square in a square block. The pattern is from Bethany Reynolds called Talking Blocks. Give it a go, you'll love it!

  8. What a beautiful quilt for such a sweet baby - never mind cramming in a bunch of sewing, put your feet up and enjoy some relaxation (how does one do that with a toddler in the house? I have no idea)! Three weeks from now, you're going to need all the energy you can muster - lol, especially with a newborn AND a two year old!
